Dr. Pooja Banerjee is a board-certified rheumatologist recognized for her expertise in autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, sarcoidosis, gout, scleroderma, and more. At North Texas Rheumatology, PA, she delivers personalized, evidence-based care that combines advanced therapies—including biologics, immunomodulators, infusion treatments, and joint injections—with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. Her philosophy is to listen closely, educate clearly, and partner with each patient to help them thrive in their health journey.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Banerjee serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She earned her Doctor of medicine degree from Minsk Medical Institute and graduated summa cum laude, followed by residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR), she remains deeply committed to advancing rheumatologic care through teaching, scholarship, and clinical innovation.
